The Kilans West Hollywood Concert reviews
Soul2Soul was not what I expected or hoped for
I somewhat expected a lot of "soul 2 soul" and The Kilans & Faith singing together - particularly with their new album. What I got was almost like 2 disconnected shows, with 3 songs together at the beginning and at the end. Faith Hill seemed a little loopy, the chemistry between them just didn't resonate. The show didn't live up to the connection 2 souls should have. Quite frankly, this show seemed much more "Las Vegas" than country. Faith Hill singing Janis Joplin just didn't ring true. Not really sure they could have sung together more. Faith Hill singing Janis Joplin just didn't ring true. The chemistry between them just didn't resonate. Quite frankly, Faith Hill seemed a little loopy, the show didn't live up to the connection 2 souls should have. Opening act Chris Janson was very good. Words were forgotten, pieces of some songs were cut out. The a cappella singing was good and very enjoyable. When they played their hits (and hits together), it was good. I enjoyed speak to a girl - good song. A few songs at the end, 3 songs together, 45 minutes of Faith, 40 minutes of Tim. The gypsy, flower child dress, sandals, dancing / skipping around stage and the over exaggerated bows didn't do much to counter that impression.
